FRANCESCO
Francesco is a semi-fine dining Italian restaurant known for its handmade pasta and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant originally started in Italy in 1972 with Julio Francesco and his daughter Eleonora. After two decades, the original location closed, but in 2002 Eleonora brought the family tradition to Canada, creating a space that combines her heritage with a modern dining experience.
For the rebrand, the goal was to create a brand identity that felt as sophisticated and welcoming as the restaurant itself. I chose a color palette of dark green, cream, and gold to convey elegance and a high-end, premium feel while still feeling warm and approachable. Dark green reflects richness and sophistication, cream adds a soft, timeless touch, and gold highlights bring a subtle sense of luxury.
The typography and overall design were crafted to match the restaurant’s contemporary, greenery-filled interior and the care that goes into every dish. The brand identity is meant to feel confident, authentic, and memorable, creating a visual experience that reflects the quality and personality of Francesco while inviting guests to enjoy a refined yet approachable dining experience.
